ASTOR ROOFTOP SOLAR COLLECTOR

With pioneer and leading company qualifications ASTOR blazes trail again.

“With the “Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation in the Electricity Market” published in the official newspaper in May 2019, ASTOR decided to produce electricity from the solar power plant on the roof of the production facility. Legal permits, project planning, installation and commissioning were carried out on 10.09.2019 after the temporary acceptance procedures of Turkey Electricity Distribution Company (TEDAŞ). Our roof solar power plant with an installed capacity of 3,300 kW is expected to generate up to 5 million kW of electricity annually. With these production values, it is aimed to meet the annual electricity consumption need of our production facility. With more than 800 staff, all electricity consumed by ASTOR will now be supplied from renewable energy sources. We hope to set an example for companies all over the country, especially for those located in industrial zones. The most important contribution to the national economy is the generation of electricity from renewable energy by our own resources and the spread of the self-consumption model throughout the country. ASTOR has established the first “Roof Solar Power Plant project” in our industry as well as in organized industry region and has become the pioneer company.”
